. . . have been storing up quite a collection of photographs on the phone of the past three amazing and whirlwind weeks, and have been meaning to post a few shots, but time seems to be whirling past at perplexing speeds and tomorrow is already the beginning of a new month, and so, while stopping to catch a breath and catch up, a few beautiful photographs of a few beautiful places, by natasha, whose work has been featured here many times before, only this time, these were all also taken by phone . . .

valentino-details

. . . every since it first made its debut on the spring couture runways of paris, fell instantly and irrevocably in love with this exquisite and enchanting wisp of a gown, strewn in lacy blossoms and swirls of diaphanous tulle, and discovered that, over time, had amassed a spectacular collection of photographs of this fairytale work of art . . .

. . . and with everything that has been happening, [nearly all at once], lately, there has been little time for falling into the spirit of things, but slowly, and a little more everyday, as november fades into december, there is something in the air that is beginning to feel a little like magic . . .

all-in-a-days-work-hedstrapless-silver

. . . this week's office inspiration does not come in the form of nautical navy blazers paired with white denim, or pretty lace collars and wool pencil skirts, but because it is already late november and nearly time again for the most wonderful time of year, why not a sweeping and sequinned evening gown at the office?

. . . and if you have been reading for some time, you may remember a beautiful series called, {a charming mix of things}, the first of which was published an astonishing three years ago, already, and while there has been less time, lately, for such things on the same scale, inspiration has come in the same form, and today, it has been shorelines and lucite heels, manicured gardens and harris tweed, toggle coats and very dark sunglasses . . .

. . . in late october, before the november rains, had been on the search for tall leather boots for blustery days, and when searching for new boots, always very much drawn to those with equestrian style, and while had finally settled on a warm cognac pair with subtle gold embellishments and a low heel (for cobblestoned streets and long city walks), below, a few other lovely possibilites . . .

. . . and how could not feel festive in red lipstick? and so, for upcoming dinner invitations and holiday soirées, a guide to the achieving the perfect red . . .

RED LIP COLLAGE

how-to | the perfect red lip :

1. Prep It -- gently exfoliate lips with a lip scrub to ensure a perfectly smooth base
2. Hydrate It -- moisturize lips with a lip balm or milk
3. Prime It -- prime lips for a silky smooth application
4. Apply It -- for precision application, use a lip brush
5. Blot It -- for longevity, blot and reapply (facial blotting papers work wonderfully)
